Designed to be the ultimate insulated ski and snowboard jacket, the Crest Down combines maximum down insulation with an array of mountain-specific features.

Loaded with 800-fill-power grey-goose down, the Crest Down is our most insulated ski jacket to date. Ideally suited for the biting cold of deep winter, the natural loft of down offers exceptional thermal retention to trap heat close to your core, ensuring you remain comfortably warm while out on the slopes. Pound for pound, nothing compares to the warmth-to-weight ratio of down, allowing the jacket to deliver maximum warmth while remaining extremely lightweight. Down is also highly compressible, which makes the Crest Down one of the easiest ski jackets to pack.

The shell of the Crest Down Jacket is made from a soft-face 3-layer Japanese nylon that is engineered to be both completely waterproof and breathable. The secret is a unidirectional membrane, sandwiched in between a waterproof exterior and a wicking interior backer, which allows heat and moisture to escape while locking out the external elements. To ensure total protection, the Crest Down has been fully seam sealed to prevent any moisture from seeping through the needle holes along the seam lines. The silky-soft mini ripstop box-quilted liner that has been used for the interior offers plush comfort against your skin or base layer.

The Crest Down Jacket has been designed with a variety of mountain-ready features, including an ergonomic fit for extended range of motion, a three-point adjustable hood that’s large enough to fit over a helmet, and a zipper garage to prevent a cold metal zipper from pressing up against your neck. The Crest Down has been outfitted with extended pit zip vents that run from the elbow to mid torso for quick temperature regulation. Adjustable cuffs also feature retractable sleeve liners with thumbholes to make sure your bare skin doesn’t get exposed to the elements. Front zippered hand-warmer pockets and zippered chest pockets offer quick exterior storage for your cell phone, wallet, etc. A specially contoured interior pocket lets you safely store your goggles, while an interior zippered pocket with audio-cord valve allows for a way to route your headphones. For a snug fit, the Crest Down also features anchored bottom-hem adjusters that let you cinch the bottom opening to fit.

A flat-construction snow skirt with gripper tape has also been incorporated into the Crest Down Jacket’s design. For groomed resort skiing, the snow skirt can be unzipped and removed entirely, while for deep powder conditions, the snow skirt can be attached and adjusted to prevent snow from creeping in the back. In extreme powder conditions, special snapped loops along the back can be directly attached to our and snow pants to create a fully integrated “snowsuit”.

The Crest Down Jacket also comes integrated with a RECCO® rescue reflector which can lead snow-patrol rescuers to a buried avalanche victim. In the event of an avalanche, rescue teams shoot an electronic signal into the snow and victims wearing a RECCO® reflector bounce the signal back to a RECCO® detector, guiding the rescuers to their exact location.
